Leaves
Leaves are another object in nature that we sort of look past. In this gallery I attempt to explore the details and fine structure of leaves. These are not features you would have to use a microscope to see. They are just the features one would observe when pausing to take a close look at leaves. All leaf photogaphs are presented in pairs. The first image is the base photograph. The following is a crop of that photograph to highlight some detail of the leaf as an abstract. You may notice that most of the pictures are taken from behind the leaf, The photograph is of the light transmitted through the leaf. This reveals the internal structure of the leaves which I find quite interesting. All photographs were taken with a 100mm macro lens.
