Located on the Olympic peninsula, Ruby Beach is a beautiful broad isolated beach. Has lovely tide pools, driftwood, sea birds and what is known as stacks(rock outcroppings on and near the shore). Feels great to have the waves roll in over your toes.
The lighting was not optimum was the weather was good otherwise. It was at low tide(not the lowest) so most of the beach was exposed and the waves just rolled and rolled as they came in. Nice shallow wave that ran just 2-3 inches deap fro fifty yards or more. Left a brand new surface with each passing. New patterns in the sand, braided dendritic flow which makes for good photographs.
