Most of these pictures were taken in the spring of 2010. They are from Montana and Wyoming. Most are from either Glacier National Park or the badlands east of Worland Wyoming. The weather was bad in Glacier which is good for flower photography. The misty rain left a lot of droplets clinging to the flowers and folage in Glacier. Likewise in the badlands the clouds were broken which provided highlights across the landscape that could be used to advantage. Taking the pictures in the late afternoon allowed me to take pictures of many of the flowers backlighted against a background in shade which really popped the flowers. In the Gros Ventre the sky was completely overcast but that is good too because it gives the whole picture a very gentle or peaceful look.
