I have pulled together here some of my pictures taken in National Parks, National Forests, BLM land and just along the highways and byways. Along blue roads and back roads and dirt roads and two tracks. To places I had never heard of an just had to turn down the road, curious to see what might be there. And never disappointed. The best places I have ever photographed were never featured in glossy brochures not particularly thought about it. They were just going about living their lives and interesting images just emerged. To me at least.

Western Wildflowers
I always am on the lookout for the small details that make the landscape 'pop'. And all the small details that are interesting and photogenic in themselves. Flowers are certainly a big part of this. In the spring of 2010 the weather was actually very good for flower photography. Lot of misty rain that left droplets on ths flowers and grass.
Yellowstone National Park - Autumn
The first national park is still the most captivating. There is something new around every turn. Even for regulars. Every season presents photo opportunities found nowhere else.
