Color
Color is one of the first things that captures our eye in nature. The bright flower here, the striking bird there. Our eye is drawn to these objects first when we survey a scene. We analyze the blend of colors when composing our photographs. And we make sure to capture the most interesting colors. We time photography to take advantage of lighting say in the late afternoon or early morning. We wait for the sun to come out or be blocked by a cloud just to get the right combination of light and shade. The color of many natural subjects change throughtout the day based on sun angle and even throughtout the year for the same reason. The combination of subject color and background and foreground color affect the dramatic effect of a photograph.
In the color albums I try to highlight some of the many bold colors found in nature.
Blue
Blue as found in nature. Currently mostly flowers but also to include other natural subjects.
Purple
All things purple(Well mostly flowers from regional public gardens). I hope to extend this to subjects other than flowers like say geological formations.
Red

Violet
