There are only two panels at this pictograph site. But one of them is the best and most striking Native American rock art site in the United States. This panel, known as the Skeleton Shaman, sets apart overlooking what may have been sort of a theater for the shaman's performance. The sheer rock face on which it is painted is not in a canyon, but on a sandstone outcropping on the San Rafael Swell.
