These are albums featuring places along the road around America. Some are actually famous, most are not, many unappreciated or unknown. The locations may merit many pictures or just one. The picture at the left is from Twin Bridges Montana. Interesting? I think so. I like to take back roads and byways through small towns and ghost towns and there I see and photograph the real character of this country. We are a happy creative people.
Antares November 17, 2018 Launch
Best launch I have seen outside Kennedy Space Center. Beautiful crisp clear night. Sound traveled well. Could feel the sound waves hitting me. Sorry I can not capture this in the photos.

Battleship New Jersey is retired and docked at Camden New Jersey just across the river from Philadelphia. I was there on a summer day when the weather was unsettled which provided some good brooding clouds.

Carrie Furnaces
Towering 92 feet over the Monongahela River, constructed of 2.5" thick steel plate and lined with refractory brick, Carrie Furnaces 6 and 7 are extremely rare examples of pre World War II iron-making technology.
The Golden Spike
The golden spike (also known as The Last Spike) is the ceremonial final spike driven by Leland Stanford to join the rails of the First Transcontinental Railroad across the United States connecting the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads on May 10, 1869, at Promontory Summit, Utah Territory.

Graffiti much like you might see on train cars is created by graffiti artists at the Carrie Iron Works under an agreement between local artists and the trust holding the landmark property.
Mack Daddy - A Maryland Pumpkin Cannon
People here in Maryland take their pumpkin shooting seriously. Mack Daddy can launch a pumpkin the better part of a mile. Mack Daddy has hydraulics similar to what you would find on a Catepillar bull dozer. Mack Daddy is mounted on a truck frame and rides on a tandem of 8 wheels.

Rockville Car Show of 2018
Had a nice car show this fall in Rockville Maryland. Lots of the old favorites with some interesting new comers. Many well restored old cars. Plus lots of muscle cars and international entries.
